After all the hype and just after releasing their debut album, WU LYF took to the stage last Friday playing to a packed out Village Underground which provided the perfect setting for the band shrouded in mystery for so long.
There has rarely been a gig i can remember with such a sense of anticipation beforehand, which was well and truly justified as soon as they ripped into their first note of their hour long set.
Although you couldn’t pull out a single word or sentence lead singer Ellery Roberts sang throughout the entire set, it didn’t make a difference, the raw, edgy atmosphere that WU LYF created was immense, you must see this band live if you get the chance!
